Soccer and Hike to the Y

Jen: We did end up playing Friday soccer a couple times. When he invited me to play, I asked if I could bring some guys. It turns out, that we had mutual friends. They were already going! We automatically had a great group of friends to play soccer with all of Spring term. What a blast!

We hung out a few more times before our first official date. One such event was one night after FHE. A friend invited some friends and me to hike the Y. On short notice, I decided to invite Ryan. Surprisingly, he said he could come. We didn’t know each other much at all, but it was really fun!

Ry: I knew Jen liked soccer and I had some friends in class who started getting me into it as well. I tried to set up a pick up game one afternoon and invited Jen. She said she was going to bring her friends, too. Later, when I invited my classmates, they turned me down, saying they already were playing with someone.... Jen! That was fun to figure out and made hanging out with her and them easier.

I was at FHE at my bishop’s house when my phone randomly rang. It was Jen! I thought to myself “what on earth could she possibly want?” She invited me to go hike the Y with some friends. I instantly wrapped up my activity and headed to see her. I was NOT going to miss that opportunity. That was a very random night....
